Jan. 05, 2009 - The Green Collector system from Pemtec AB is a technology used to make a hydraulic but not thermal seal between a vertical energy probe and the surrounding environment. Especially when using glycol as a freeze protection in energy probes it's important not to contaminate the ground water. It happens that energy probes are leaking, and when they are it's a disaster for the ground water segments due to freeze protection liquid contamination. The solution to eliminate such risk is to lower an energy capsule directly after drilling and to fill it with water. Thereafter the energy probe is lowered inside the capsule.
Even more interesting is the fact that nor bentonite or cement is required and therefore PE80 SDR11(PN8) pipes could be used instead of PE100 SDR17(PN12,5), easier to handle for the entrepreneur and cheaper for the consumer. The Green Collector system is patented.
Pemtec AB is a pipe manufacturer from Sweden since 2000, but experience reaches back to 1972.
